Last night, I caved. I turned on the heat in my house. The outside temperature was around 53, and inside my house, it had dipped to 63. I was freezing even wearing a sweatshirt. Although they say it may reach 80 today, the past two days have been downright chilly.
The return of the cool weather means hand cream season is upon us. For me with my dry skin, hand cream season is year round. In addition to making my skin feel more comfortable, hand cream also plumps and makes my hands look a little younger.
Farmhouse Fresh hand creams are among my very favorite. They have a few different formulas, and the Steeped Milk Lotion is one that I adore for my mega-dry skin. Recently, I received the newest addition to the Steeped Milk Lotion Hand Cream collection, Maypop!
Maypop is the latest scent or should I say flavor to join the Steeped Milk Lotion lineup. The key fragrance note comes from U.S. grown passion fruit, and it is an amazing and slightly different scent from Farmhouse Fresh, IMHO, that is completely on-trend. Although the passion fruit scent is sweet, it has a freshness and almost a slight sharpness or pop of scent that reminds me of the Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose Shower Gel (described here) that I have been using lately. I love that new fresh scent note!
The key ingredients in Maypop Steeped Milk Hand Lotion are:
- Sunflower and Safflower Oils: high in linoleic acid to address dryness, redness and scaliness
- Sodium Hyaluronate, a form of hyaluronic acid, and Tremella Mushroom Extract both are exceptional at holding onto water to help keep moisture in the skin instead of evaporating out
- Provitamin B5 (Panthenol) helps wound healing.

Yes, this sounds like a lovely hand cream that I would use. All of their products that you’ve reviewed have sounded nice. And wow, so cold at your house already!! I think we’re all ready for cooler weather here in Texas.

I would not know which scent to buy – they all sound wonderful. It’s still so hot in Florida but my cuticles are terribly dry, so I’ve been using lotion a bunch!

Try their body oils before and I liked them. One thing that is really nice and catchy is their vintage looking packaging. They’re very pleasing to look at.

This sounds like such a perfect scent! I’ve been using the sweet tea shea hand cream from FHF and it is so good.
Sweet Tea is one of the few FHF scents that I haven’t had a chance to try yet. I have the shea hand cream too, and its formula doesn’t seem to have the silicone feel but it is still excellent
The buttermilk Lavender sounds really neat! Plus my mom loves lavender so I’m always looking for new things around this time of year for Christmas!
The Buttermilk Lavender scent is absolutely lovely and soft. It isn’t a strong lavender, but lavender mixed with a soft creamy scent. I love it! I think there may be other FHF products in that scent as well, plus it’s similar to the Fluffy Bunny scent.
Maypop sounds like my kind of scent! I always have several hand creams on hand and open throughout the house, car, purse, and everywhere else I end up on a regular basis once it turns chilly.
