What Makes This Foundation Different

Let me introduce you to Oxygentix Oxygenating Foundation, a foundation that’s as light as a feather. Wearing Oxygentix Oxygenating Foundation feels like I’m not wearing any foundation at all. Oxygenating Foundation is formulated with CeravitaeTM  that allows skin to absorb more oxygen, stimulating skin cell production and helping to heal from skin issues, acne or skin procedures. The foundation is created on an aloe vera base, so it is both antibacterial and soothing.

It can be applied with fingers, brush or blending sponge. I use a faux-Artis style brush most of the time. Fingers if I just want a sheer wash of coverage and go.

Another cool thing about Oxygenating Foundation is that it goes on sheer. You can see your skin shine through. Once it is set, you can build it up as little or as much as you like. By adding a bit more foundation, you can cover dark spots, discolorations or uneven skin tone (me!) or hide blemishes. Even after adding more, it still feels so light on my skin that I can’t feel it at all!

More Info

Oxygenetix is a new-to-me brand, so I was happy to learn more about it:

  • Helps build collagen and elastin
  • Allows your skin to breathe
  • Soothes with aloe-based gel
  • Feels light like you’re not wearing makeup
  • Beneficial for normal dry oily and combination skin
  • Safe and soothing for sensitive skin
  • Covers and treats skin conditions
  • Paraben-free
  • Certified Cruelty-Free and Vegan.

Interestingly, Oxygenating Foundation is used by makeup artists on their clients who are actors or television personalities because of the natural look, the breathability and the luminosity of this foundation. Doctors, e.g. dermatologists and plastic surgeons, recommend the foundation to their patients to help heal skin after treatments and procedures.

Oxygenating Foundation comes in a 0.5 fl. oz./15 ml airless pump to protect the makeup inside. Although I have not had any problems operating the pump, Oxygentix even has a video to demonstrate how to use the pump and how it functions.

Shades and How to Choose

The foundation comes in 14 shades to suit fair to deep skin tones. Half of the shades are built on a blue base and half on a yellow base. There’s a Shade Finder app on the Oxygentix website that you can use to find your best match. If you prefer, you can buy a shade card for $9.95. If you follow up with a foundation purchase afterwards, you get a $15 discount on your purchase to cover the cost of the shade card and then some.

I chose the shade, Ivory, the second lightest shade on a blue base, from a photo on the website as the closest match to my fair/light skin.

Although when I look at the swatch on my arm, Ivory looks a little golden for my bluish skin. Yet when I buff it in, it’s a better match.

On my face, it is a good match. In the summer, I think it will be a perfect match.

Products and Pricing

Oxygentix Oxygenating Foundation is priced at $66. If you love it, you can sign up for a subscription, and you save 15%, bringing the price down to about $56. There’s a version of Oxygenating Foundation formulated specifically for those with acne, Acne Control Foundation. Right now, Oxygentix is having a sale on the Oxygenating Foundation plus a full size (50 ml) Oxygenating Hydro-Matrix moisturizer “bundle” that provides a hydrating, breathable base for the foundation all for $89, a real bargain.

My Thoughts

I can definitely see that Oxygentix Oxygenating Foundation will become my “go-to” foundation now that the warmer weather is on its way, and I want a lightweight foundation. It’s a pleasure to wear. And to my surprise, I haven’t even needed to use concealer on my dark spots because I can just dab a little bit more on them, and they disappear. I didn’t put extra on my “freckles” on my nose. This was the foundation after I went for a 4 mile hike in the woods.

Oh yes, and another important surprise: when I wear a mask, the foundation doesn’t come off on it. That’s a big deal to me because all of my other foundations do come off onto my masks. Yay, Oxygenentix!

    1. I remember that you prefer lightweight foundations. That fact that this is buildable but still lightweight makes it a good choice for me, too!

  2. I remember Justina saying this was a great foundation and I had looked into it at one time! Sounds and looks good to me! I like sheerer buildable layers. You can go light on days where you don’t feel you need much, and dab on where you need more. When I run outta some of my foundations I need to try this one.

    1. Oh, I didn’t know Justina was a fan too!

  3. It looks like a great match for your skin when blended out! I also like that it’s lightweight – that would be perfect for the upcoming spring & summer months.

  5. It sounds like the all round, perfect, foundation. I only ever use concealer but I’ve been thinking about trying a foundation too, as my sun spots are becoming more and more visible!

    1. I’m kind of funny because, like you, most of the time I only use concealer, but when I wear foundation, it’s usually medium to full coverage or full. But I would say that Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation is a great choice for those who seldom wear foundation because it’s so lightweight and you can build coverage only where you need it! Thanks for your comment, Suzy
