Nuance Salma Hayek AM/PM Anti-aging Super Eye Treatment

Since I’m a big fan of Nuance Salma Hayek Daytime Moisturizer with SPF, I decided to branch out and try an eye product from the Nuance brand. I chose the Nuance Salma Hayek AM/PM Anti-aging Super Eye Treatment. I just finished up the bottle, and I liked it. It’s a pump bottle, and I found that you can alter the amount it pumps out by pushing it down only part way (pumping the whole way down may give you more than you need).

The consistency is lightweight. I’m typically an “eye cream in a jar” user, so this was different for me: it was not as thick and emollient as the creams that I’m used to, but it is substantial, more so than other tube or pump eye treatments I’ve tried in the past. In addition, it was very soothing, smoothing and moisturizing. Unlike a few of the heavier creams I’ve tried, Nuance Salma Hayek AM/PM Anti-aging Super Eye Treatment works well with foundation and eye makeup because it soaks right in and doesn’t “ball up” under makeup.

Here’s what it says on the CVS website about the product:

With tepezcohuite, rice bran oil & vitamins A & E. Targeted, nourishing formula helps protect skin and smooth the appearance of deep wrinkles around the eyes. Beauty Secret: Ancient Mayan civilizations sought after the bark of tepezcohuite tree as an effective natural skin treatment. Native to Brazil and southern areas of Mexico, its dark brown and gray bark is known for its antioxidant properties and its ability to help revitalize the skin. Consumer results (based on a 17-member panel): 94% of women noticed their skin appeared tighter and fuller after 30 days; 88% of women felt their skin appeared more toned after 30 days; 82% of women noticed the skin around their eyes appeared more radiant after 30 days. Tepezcohuite helps firm and smooth the delicate eye area, visibly reducing the appearance of deep eye wrinkles. Watermelon, apple & lentil fruit extracts help retain skin”s natural moisture and provide antioxidant protection. Rice bran oil & vitamins A & E nourish skin and help visibly smooth fine lines.

First, let me say I am always curious about consumer test results. Are they comparing the product to using nothing before or to whatever product they were using before? As a lifelong user of moisturizer, I’m not sure what my “baseline” would be. Compared to using nothing on my skin, everything works! Versus what I was using before, I’m not sure there was any difference.

I have become very realistic over the years, and I don’t expect miracles from any skincare product. I know that they can’t reverse the hands of time, but I have found that they can definitely slow them! That said, Nuance Salma Hayek AM/PM Anti-aging Super Eye Treatment was comfortable to wear, and it felt instantly moisturizing. While wearing it, it does minimize the appearance of wrinkles…though they are still there lol. I cannot say that my skin was more toned or more radiant. Frankly, I think anyone’s skin looks “more radiant” when wearing any moisturizer!

Important to me as a contact lens wearer, it stayed put. Some eye creams and eye primers migrate into my eyes, putting a greasy film on my contact lenses. This does not.

As the blurb above from the website details, the product contains a lot of intriguing ingredients from natural sources as well as antioxidants, though I assume they’re in small quantities. I can not attest to any of the ingredients individually, but altogether they make for a nice eye cream. What I usually like best about Nuance products is what they don’t have: no parabens, no animal testing. It is dermatologist-tested and non-irritating.

I purchased Nuance Salma Hayek AM/PM Anti-aging Super Eye Treatment at CVS. The regular price is $19.99 for 0.5 fl.oz/15mL., and I bought it with a CVS rebate coupon from having a CVS card that tracks my CVS Beauty Club and other CVS purchases. Nuance products are also available at Walgreen’s and Amazon.

I recommend Nuance Salma Hayek AM/PM Anti-aging Super Eye Treatment for women who prefer a lightweight but hydrating eye cream that does not come in a jar. I used this product during the cold New England winter and it was just hydrating enough for days with cold winds and drying indoor heat, but I think it would be an even better summer or warm weather product. I have a couple of other eye creams on hand to try next, but I will most likely repurchase it again in the future.
