I’m a big fan of L’Oreal Revitalift Eye Cream Anti-Wrinkle + Firming, and I’ve been using it for years.

I decided to give one of the eye creams, L’Oreal Age Perfect Hydra Nutrition Golden Balm Eye Cream, a try because I have been looking for an eye cream that will help firm my eye area.

First opening the jar of L’Oreal, I saw a pretty, golden cream. So far, so good. But it’s a very, very, very thick, heavy cream. I like thick, but this is too thick for me. With this cream, you must pat it on, otherwise it pulls the skin as you try to get it to absorb. Also, with time, the cream seems to thicken even more in the jar, making it even more difficult to apply.

I thought maybe the thick cream would act like spackle to firm up the loose skin above my eye lid, but no such luck. I believe in finishing things up, and it’s taking me forever to use this cream up. The “elasticity” benefit I was hoping for did not happen. I will not repurchase.

L’Oreal comes in a 0.5 oz./14 g jar. I bought mine at CVS, and it’s widely available at drugstores, mass merchandisers, and many websites in case any of you want to give it a try and prove me wrong. The MSRP is $19.99, though I’m sure I paid less than that. The product is made in the U.S.
