Today, I’d like to introduce you to another natural skincare company and brand, Skin And Senses. Skin And Senses products are also vegan and cruelty-free as well as free from GMO, fillers, artificial colors, phthalates, and parabens.

Skin And Senses’ products have fun “attitudinal” product names like Clarity, Conquer, Transform. They make natural products for face, body and pregnancy. I received three facial skincare products to try out.

Fresh Chamomile & Cucumber Gentle Face Wash

Fresh Chamomile & Cucumber Gentle Face Wash, neversaydiebeauty.com

Fresh Chamomile & Cucumber Gentle Face Wash is exactly that: fresh and gentle. This clear gel cleanser turns milky and creates a gentle lather when it is massaged onto damp skin. It gently lifts away dirt and excess oil to leave skin clean and soft but not stripped or tight. Good for all skin types including sensitive skin, it helps fight redness, sensitivity, dullness, and uneven skin tone.

Cucumber and chamomile extracts calm and soothe, while Aloe Vera leaves skin soft and supple. Infused with a blend of botanical antioxidants, it helps protect skin from environmental pollutants.

It has no added fragrance. I was sort of hoping that it might smell like cucumber because I love cucumber, but instead I would say it has a neutral, non-scent that smells most like natural aloe vera.

Fresh Chamomile & Cucumber Gentle Face Wash comes in a plastic squeeze bottle containing 4 fl. oz. and is priced at $22.

Ingredients: Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, EcoCert Decyl Glucoside, EcoCert Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Vegetable Glycerin (and) Organic Cucumber Peel Extract (and) Organic Chamomile Leaf Extract, Panthenol (ProVitamin B5), EcoCert Gluconolactone, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, EcoCert Sodium Benzoate

Over the past couple of years, eye serum really has become a thing. And I am happy to add an extra step to my skincare routine to add even more oomph to my regimen to tighten, firm and keep the delicate skin around my eyes healthier. Skin And Senses Difference Anti-Aging Eye Serum is made with rosehip and cucumber seed oils to combat fine lines and wrinkles and vitamin K to combat dark circles as well as other essential oils. The container comes with a rollerball top that it oh-so-cooling on my eyes. Mine appears to have a metal rollerball while the website says that it comes with a rose quartz rollerball to massage the skin around the eyes. Either one would work for me!

Premium Xiuyan Jade Facial Roller

On Saturday, I went to the Chinese Empresses exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem MA with my friend, Miriam. It was a fascinating exhibit about empresses, some of whom ruled when women were not allowed to rule.

There was so much to see that I’m sure I’ll go back again. We saw the gorgeous handmade embroidered silk clothing that the empresses wore to informal, court and state events.

We also saw the beauty tools that the empresses used on a daily basis. One of the empress’ beauty tools that we saw was an enameled facial massage roller, made in France.

I was absolutely amazed because just a few weeks ago, I received a handmade jade facial roller from Skin And Senses! I had no idea that the beauty tool I had been using went back to at least the 19th century.

The white jade massage roller from Skin And Senses comes with a brochure that shows when and how to use the tool. In addition to being used for facial massage to help increase circulation and massage and tone facial muscles to help smooth skin, it can also be used for sinus pain and to help serums be absorbed better to work better. Putting the roller in the freezer for 30 minutes makes the cool therapy last even longer. Since I am always cold, I haven’t tried that yet, but I will next summer. Initially, I was afraid that I might be too cold using the roller, but it feels so good and it helps me relax. Great for stress reduction!

The smaller roller is designed for the eye area, while the larger roller is best for the jawline, chin, forehead. I use the smaller roller around my mouth and nose.

Here are the benefits listed by the Skin And Sense website:

  • Smooths fine lines
  • Enhances benefits of serums
  • Flushes toxins via lymphatic drainage
  • Stimulates collagen production and boosts elastin
  • Improves blood circulation and skin tone
  • Reduces puffiness, wrinkles, and dark under-eye circles

Xiuyan Jade Stone is purported to relax the nervous system and aid in the removal of toxins. Jade, highly prized in the history of China, represents health, wealth, longevity and prosperity.

The Skin And Senses Premium Xiuyan Jade Facial Roller is priced at $26.

Skin And Senses products are sold on their website. Check out the site to learn more about their other face and body products.

I’m enjoying these natural, vegan, cruelty-free products made with organic ingredients from Skin And Senses. I would say the rollerball Difference Anti-Aging Eye Serum and the Jade Facial Roller are the most different and the two I am enjoying most. Have you tried using a facial roller yet?

  2. I love that Aloe Vera is a prime ingredient in almost all the products, my skin loves anything with aloe in it! I also want to try a jade roller!
