Derma E Universal Cleansing Balm

I am a fan of cleansing balms as hydrating makeup removers. I love how they just melt away makeup. But I had never tried this one from Derma E. Actually, I didn’t know that Derma E had a cleansing balm. So I was eager to try it.

Derma E Universal Cleansing Balm contains key ingredients:

• rose hip oil contains essential fatty acids that moisturize and hydrate; high in antioxidants vitamins A & C; encourages skin cell turnover and boosts radiance
• camellia oil is also rich in antioxidants vitamins A & E that nourish while gently but deeply cleaning skin
• cocoa butter conditions and soothes skin while improving moisture retention and increasing elasticity
• shea butter: same benefits as cocoa butter above
• citrus oils, essential oils that help tone and balance skin for a soft, youthful, dewy glow and it smells bright and delicious.

Derma E has provided a plastic scoop to make it easier to keep the tub of cleansing balm clean and germ-free. I love that!

A little of the Universal Cleansing Balm goes a long way. A small scoop of the balm melts my makeup away on contact and removes it completely. The rich balm transforms into a cleansing milk as I massage it on my skin. I usually use micellar water during the warmer parts of the year, but cleansing balm is faster and more hydrating. I use a tissue or a cotton pad to remove the balm.

As I mentioned above, Derma E Universal Cleansing Balm has citrus oils in the formula that also give the product its mild natural citrus scent. I think all but the most scent-averse would not have an issue with the scent that really disappears on contact.

The tub of Universal Cleansing Balm contains 3.5 oz./100 g, and it’s priced around $15. It’s available on the Derma E website, Ulta Beauty, Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Walgreens. If you’re a fan of cleansing balms, this is a beauty. I highly recommend it.

They are “Eco-Ethical”, meaning clean beauty, 100% Vegan, GMO-Free, Cruelty Free and Free of parabens, sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oils, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfates. And they are a good value, meaning affordable. Love this brand!!
