Multitasking Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse

British brand, Lumity, was new to me, but what a pleasing discovery! Lumity was started by Cambridge, England educated scientist, Sara Palmer Hussey PhD, as a health and wellness company. I was asked if I was interested in trying their supplements that contain vitamins, minerals, omega-3s, and amino acids, and though they sound wonderful, I already take a number of prescription medications as well as other OTC supplements. It was too confusing to figure out which things that I already take I needed to stop while potentially taking these new ones.

Fortunately, the folks at Lumity suggested that I take a look at their complete product line to see if there was a different product I would like to try. It took me less than 30 seconds to know that I wanted to try Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse. Though I have a lot of different cleansers, exfoliators and masks, I am always open to trying something new. Plus, multitasking products always catch my eye.

The most striking aspect of Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse is the deep, dark, glossy black color.

I sought out the ingredient list to find out how and why it was so black. It’s the activated bamboo charcoal powder! In the past, I thought maybe with my dry skin I should avoid anything with charcoal, but Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse is chock full of natural oils and other hydrating ingredients that I had no reason for concern.

After the color that I am fascinated by, the most important aspect is the fact that it is an amazing multitasker. The four things it does are:

  • makeup remover (though I don’t use it to remove eye makeup)
  • deep cleanser
  • exfoliator
  • hydrating mask.

I apply about a quarter’s worth of the very, very thick black cream to my dry face avoiding my eyes. I can’t remember if it comes with a scoop or spoon, but I use a small black plastic spoon with my Lumity Cleanse. In fact, sometimes I tape it to the top of the jar so it’s always available. Because the cream is black, I always wear a headband to keep my hair out of my face.

I massage the cleanser on with my fingers in circles. I notice that as I do that the cream begins to have a slightly warming sensation on my face. It feels really good! It has biodegradable jojoba exfoliating beads that also feel good as I massage.

If I have time, I leave Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse on from 10 to 30 minutes as a hydrating mask. Then I wash it off with lukewarm water using my fingers or a facecloth. I sometimes use my natural sponge. Because the cream is black, it is possible that it could stain, but I always assiduously rinse out either my sponge or cloth to get the black out.

Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed, hydrated, and radiant. In fact, I used it on Sunday afternoon before Jeff and I went out for a ride. He turned to me in the car and said, “Did you put on your makeup before we went out? Is that why it took you so long?” I wasn’t wearing any makeup, (and it actually didn’t take me that long, lol)! He then said that I had such nice color in my cheeks, he thought I was wearing makeup. I’m sold on Lumity now for sure!

Because I like the mask and exfoliating aspect of this fabulous skincare product, I usually use it 2-3 times a week, either before I go to bed or before I am going out somewhere.

What’s also really impressive about Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse is the list of natural ingredients. It’s called “Nutrient Rich Skin Saviour” for a reason! When you go to the Lumity website to the 4-in-1 Cleanse page, there is a horizontal scrolling device that lets you scroll through each and every one of the ingredients, and it shows you the characteristics and the benefits of each ingredient. It’s so helpful.

I love love love Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse. It’s made in the UK. The jar contains 3.38 fl. oz./100 ml. It is not inexpensive, but it is made with such care that I am not surprised at the price. Purchasing a single jar is $72, but if you sign up for a subscription that is sent out every 4, 6 or 8 weeks, the price drops to $60. You can save 10% by signing up for emails. It is also sold in some dermatology offices, spas, and pharmacies in several locations throughout the U.S.: NY, Long Island, Atlanta, Columbus OH, Phoenix/Scottsdale, Los Angeles, and Louisiana. Also, I noticed on the Lumity US site that there is a $20 sample size jar offered last year around Black Friday (it looks like it is still available!) as well as step up discounts on purchases of different amounts for the holiday season. Keep your eyes open for both. Also, there is a limited time offer of a free Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse with the purchase of Lumity Morning & Night Female Supplements.

Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse has a natural, light, herbal scent that I can’t smell at all when it’s on my face. It is cruelty-free.
