Timing is perfect to brighten up with Vasanti’s Brighten Up Glow Boosting Serum

I learned something new this week when I started to write about my experience with Vasanti Cosmetics Brighten Up! Glow Boosting Serum. Even though I’ve used (and loved) several Vasanti products I never knew the origin of the brand. These are the ladies we need to give credit to for a brand that is par excellante!

It’s wonderful to use a woman founded brand that was created so everyone, regardless of their ethnicity or skin color, can feel included and be a part of their sisterhood.

There’s a lot more to love about Brighten Up! Glow Boosting Serum starting with the fact that it’s a cruelty-free, vegan and 99% natural brand.  Brighten Up! Glow Boosting Serum is a two phase serum so you need to shake it up first. This has been what I’ve been using in the mornings because of the light glow it gives.

Brighten Up! Glow Boosting Serum contains Vitamin C, Aloe, Abyssinian oil and Arbutin (from bearberry leaves) to brighten and hydrate. Not only will it help reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation but it also helps on acne scars.

There is a pleasant fragrance to it that’s not overwhelming but I still choose to use a different serum at night since fragrance doesn’t help when I’m experiencing insomnia. But it’s light enough that the aroma doesn’t bother me during the day. Plus it helps give me a lovely glow when I’m using it.

Look at all this does and you’ll understand why it’s such a great product:

Solutions for:

  • Uneven skin
  • Acne Scarring
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Sensitive Skin
  • Dullness, lack of radiance
  • Dry, flaky skin
  • Redness and irritated skin
  • Loss of firmness and elasticity

Benefits:

  • Repairs, enhances, and evens out your complexion
  • Skin looks luminous with the combination of Vitamin C, bearberry and Arbutin
  • You will instantly notice a soft, plump and glowing appearance, along with a healing effect on your skin from the Vitamin C and E, Aloe and Abyssinian oil.
  • Incredible hydrating properties

I never use a lot of Brighten Up since it doesn’t take a lot to give you the benefits of a serum. Don’t overdo it. It’s a lightly oiled product that I let set before applying any other skincare or cosmetics. You want to use a serum because it delivers high concentrations of its active ingredients and should be the first skincare item you use on cleansed skin. The rule of thumb is to go from lightest to heaviest with skincare so start your day with Vasanti Brighten Up! Glow Boosting Serum.

This lovely serum is available on Amazon and Vasanti for just $39. (The model on Vasanti’s website is using way more than I’d use, like I said a little goes a long way.)

Highlighted ingredients:

  • Aloe Vera: Healing and soothing properties. Leaves the skin smooth and soft
  • Abyssinian Oil: Rehydrates the skin, provides protection of dry skin and excellent moisturizing properties (the next argan oil!)
  • Arbutin from Bearberry Leaves: Antioxidant and anti-aging properties help gain uniform skin tone, reduce dark spots and discoloration. A natural skin brightener to help skin luminosity and improves uneven complexion.
  • Hyaluronic Acid – helps your skin look plump by hydrating skin by making sure water doesn’t escape from your skin’s surface.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate – helps skin retain water which provides water-based moisture to the skin reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Vitamin C: Anti-aging and an effective antioxidant that brightens skin and reduces signs of aging.

    1. Lola, that first picture on the website makes me cringe. I know they say not to use more than 3 drops but the model is poring on a lot more. Why waste it when 2 drops for me is ideal!

  1. Hi, Marcia – Wow, this sounds wonderful! My question is that since it contains vitamin C can we wear it when it’s sunny? Is it safe in the sun when wearing sunscreen? And if so, how much SPF is necessary when using a serum with vitamin C. It’s a good thing you are reviewing this so that my questions go straight to the beauty-blogging expert! 😉 Thanks – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

    1. Angie, I don’t go without sunscreen. My skin is very fair and I burn easily plus I did a lot of damage when I was young. Everyone used baby oil and put foil on cardboard to soak up more sun. If only I knew then what I know now! I still have some damage from those years but I’ve also worked hard, using products like this one from Vasanti, to minimize what’s left. I normally wear SPF 30 or above.

  2. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from Vasanti. I was turned on to the brand via Ipsy, but same as you, I didn’t know anything about its origins or founders or even what the brand stood for. Now I know a little more. The Grow Boosting Serum sounds divine – I love that ingredient list!
