Milani New Moisture Matte Color Statement Lipsticks

Oh, I am so excited about the new lipsticks that I just received from Milani! What an unexpected surprise! There’s nothing like new lipsticks to give me a lift  😆

Milani Moisture Matte Color Statement Lipsticks

One of the trends this year is comfortable-to-wear, i.e. non-drying, matte lipsticks.

The new Moisture Matte Lipsticks are made with grape seed extract imported from Italy and are amazingly lightweight, seriously comfortable to wear, smearproof, and long-lasting. They’re priced around $4.99-5.99.

Milani Vegan Color Statement Lipsticks

In addition, the folks at Milani were generous to include two other pink Color Statement lipsticks in the box that I received:

  • Catwalk Pink (45), cool, girly pink
  • Power Pink (46), bright fuchsia.

I think the reason I received these two new shades that are new additions to the regular Color Statement Lipstick line is that they are both VEGAN! The two pink pretties have a satin finish, but they are just as comfy to wear as the new mattes.

I was so eager to swatch all these beauties that I went right to it without realizing that Catwalk Pink and Power Pink were not part of the new matte lineup so they are tucked into the photos above. Until you put them on your lips (see the photo of Catwalk Pink at the end of the post), you really can’t tell the difference in the finish. In terms of color, I think they fit right in. But here they are on their own:

Also tucked in the box were two new Color Statement Lipliners in two beautiful, very wearable shades:

  • Bordeaux (12)
  • Pretty Pink (13).

There are 8 lipliner shades available in total priced from about $3.49-3.99. They’re made in the Czech Republic. Here’s the ingredient list:

Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Synthetic Wax, Zeolite, Stearyl Dimethicone, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Hydrogenated Polydicyclopentadiene-2, Polyethylene, Diisostearyl Malate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891). +/- May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Red 6 (CI 15850), Red 7 (CI 15850), Red 28 (CI 45410), Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Carmine (CI 75470), Blue 1 (CI 42090)

I tried out Pretty Pink with Catwalk Pink Lipstick and also with Matte Naked, and I think it’s a perfect lipliner for Matte Naked. Also in these lip pix, you can see the difference in the finish of Catwalk Pink (satin):

and Matte Naked:

Here’s lipliner Bordeaux with new Matte Confident taken in indoor light at night. I really love this shade. I expected it to be more burgundy but in the golden indoor light, it looks brighter and redder.

The new Milani lipsticks are made in the U.S. Each is 0.14 oz. Milani Cosmetics are cruelty-free, and now some of the lipsticks are even vegan. I haven’t been shopping lately so I am not sure whether these new lipsticks and liners have hit the stores where Milani is typically sold such as CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Kmart etc., but they are on the Milani website. And Milani is having a 30% off sale on lipsticks on their website through February 3. So if any of these gorgeous shades strikes your fancy, pick ’em up online now!

    1. It actually isn’t pink heavy, Nidia. As I mentioned in the loooooong post, I photographed all of the shades and then discovered that two of the pinks are new vegan additions to the regular satin-finish Color Statement Lipstick lineup. But there has been no sun to rephotograph the lipsticks.

  1. These are pretty!!!! I have a hard time finding milani shades I want near me. It’s like people stalk the store and buy up everything.

    1. Eager to hear what you think. I love the colors. After a while, my super-dry lips get dry wearing them so at that point, I put City Lips over it so I’m no longer getting the matte but for the first couple of hours I’m fine without it.

    1. Oh, you should, Vivienne. I love the whole Color Statement lipstick line, but their liquid lipsticks Lip Intense and Power Lip are my all-time faves!

  2. The colors look lovely, but I’m still on the fence about matte lipsticks .. they just seem too flat for me.

Luckily for me .. Milani makes other fabulous lipsticks and glosses 😉

    1. I can definitely see how you think that. It is definitely a different look. I like mattes for a change, but I like a little shine too and that’s why I adore Milani’s Power Lip and Lip Intense formulas as well as the regular Color Statement line. BTW, the two pinks – catwalk and Power Pink – are new VEGAN additions to the satin-finish regular Color Statement lipstick line. I think they are very pretty!

  3. Your lips look great. I always worry about matte lipsticks. I’ve got a few Milani lip pencils and they are great. One I bought is a dupe for Chanel Nude which is fabulous at that price.

    1. Thanks so much, Marcia! I owe my lips not being chapped to City Lips Lip Plumper with collagen & HA, lol! But I love Milani’s lipsticks — all of ’em including Power Lip and Lip Intense — and the lip pencils too.

    1. It’s a great sale, Bailey. And don’t forget Power Lip and Lip Intense lippies too. And those 2 new vegan satin-finish pinks – Catwalk and Power Pink – are gorgeous too!

    1. That’s great, Honey! The vegan pinks added to the regular line are turning out to be my faves formula-wise, but the shades in the matte line are gorgeous!

    1. Oh, no, what a drag! I hope your CVS cleans up their act. I love the pinks too, especially the two vegan pinks in the regular Color Statement line

  4. Oh my! I HAVE to get my a few of these! I am a longwear matte lipstick FANATIC and simply must have a few of these in my collection. Great to hear that they’re comfortable to wear and not totally drying. 😀 Thanks for the detailed pictures!

    1. Kate, the shades are beautiful. And they are “not totally drying”. Just a head’s up, Jordana has just come out with a host of mattes as well that I plan to review and swatch very soon. I find those even less drying than the Milani! But they are all great. And I adore the two new VEGAN pinks from Milani that are now part of the regular Color Statement Lipstick lineup. Thanks so much for visiting and for your comment!

    1. The shades are gorgeous, Julie. Soon, I’ll be reviewing and swatching Jordana’s new matte lineup of lippies, and I think they are even less drying <3

    1. Not exactly sure what you mean by “what network were they from”! Milani’s new matte lipsticks are on their website (30% off till tomorrow) and they are usually sold at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart etc.

  5. I love my Milani lippies! I really enjoy your reviews and I’m so glad you post the old ones to read.

    1. I love Milani lippies, too, Laura, especially the regular Colour Statement lipsticks. And have you tried Jordana, Milani’s sister brand that’s sold at Walgreens? The Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain? It’s incredible, long wearing, non-drying and so affordable!

    1. Yes, you should and the Jordana matte lipsticks and the stick balms are my favorites bar none in the drugstore! Thanks, Concetta, for taking the time to comment!
