Coui Skincare Nourishing Cleansing Oil

Coui Skincare, facial cleanser

Nourishing Cleansing Oil is new from Coui. Although I’m a fan of using argan oil and rosehip oil on my face at night instead of moisturizer from time to time, I had never used cleansing oil. Now, I apply a few drops of Coui Cleansing Oil in the palm of my hand, mix with a few drops of water so it becomes creamy. I massage it onto my face, and it removes my makeup as it cleanses my skin. After rinsing, my face feels and is clean but not tight or stripped. I’ve been using another strong acid facial cleanser lately, and my skin was feeling a little dry and sore. It feels soooo good to use Coui Nourishing Cleansing Oil to soothe as well as cleanse my skin. Plus, I love that it saves me the extra step of having to remove my makeup before cleansing at night. Yay!

Coui Nourishing Cleansing Oil contains so many lovely oils and other goodies: Castor Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Vitamin D, and antioxidants. It has no alcohol or harsh surfactants. It works for all skin types from sensitive, dry to oily by using oils to maintain skin’s natural balance. The brown glass pump bottle contains 2 fl. oz/60 ml. It’s priced at $19.95 and sold on Amazon. Have you tried cleansing oil yet? You should!

Coui Skincare Ocean Toner

Coui Skincare, facial toner

I never used to “bother” with toner, but over the past year, I’ve gotten into it! Toner confirms for me that my skin is clean, and it helps my skin get ready for the serum and moisturizer. It also minimizes pores, refreshes, tones and tightens. It’s anti-inflammatory.

New Coui Ocean Toner is a combination of the goodness of rosewater and skin-loving ingredients from the sea. And the scent smells like a combination of the two. I can smell the roses but also the minerality of the ocean. Alcohol-free, Ocean Toner is a simple combination of 5 ingredients: rosewater, sea kelp, witch hazel, aloe vera, and a moisturizing glycol.

It comes in a sleek, silver metal spray bottle. I can’t stand spraying anything directly on my face (though you may love the refreshing spray) so I spray it on a cotton pad and pat it on my skin. My skin feels smooth and fresh and ready for the next step.

Ocean Toner, 4 fl. oz., is sold on Amazon for $22.95.

  1. I want to win because I have Lupus and it is so very important for me to protect myself from the sun.

    1. Happy to hear from you, Robin! I hope you’re feeling OK. This is a wonderful facial sunscreen because it’s lightweight and not greasy. Thank you for entering the giveaway and Good luck 🙂

    1. They say that oily skin can use cleansing oil because instead of making the skin oilier it restores the proper balance. Unfortunately, I don’t know the science behind that claim (I probably should!), but I have heard it from so many different sources that I believe it. 😉

    1. Thank you, Helen. I’ve been using their Super C Serum for a long time, and I really like it. The cleansing oil is quite wonderful. I am usually a sunscreen hater though I force myself to use it, but I really like this one because it is so lightweight and doesn’t give me whiteface.

    1. This one doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes, Heather. In fact, I never even thought about it so it must be good that way. I love how lightweight it is. Thank you for entering and good luck!

    1. I hear ya on the sunscreen, Kristina. This one really sinks in/dries down so I don’t mind using it. I don’t know why I have that reaction. I have Evian Spray which I love but it is so aversive for me to spray it in my face, lol

    1. You have to do what you’re comfortable with, Kat! I hear ya on using sunscreen on your face. I’ve found two so far this season that I’ve had good luck with. This was my first time using cleansing oil (I have dry skin), and everything I’ve read says that even those with oily skin can benefit from using it because it doesn’t add oil, it balances the oil and somehow helps your skin cut down on oil production. but it does sound a bit like magic

  2. We go through a lot of sunscreen since we live in Florida and this one sounds like a good one being non-greasy and having UVA/UVB protection.

    1. I’m glad you’re a cleansing oil fan. I thought I remember reading about them on your blog. I wish I could into spraying stuff in my face because even though it is refreshing I can’t stand it, lol!

  3. These look awesome! The ingredients are soooo up my alley. Thanks for the discount and the fantastic giveaway, too!

  4. There are so many great skincare companies that I’ll never know them all. It has to be a great one if you’ve used them for 2 years!

    1. You’re really right, Marcia. I was thinking about how many really good skincare products I’ve tried over the past couple of years. It is amazing. And yes, I am a fan of Coui Skincare Super C Serum 😉

  5. I’d like to try the Coui sunscreen because I like the Vitamin C serum so much! And I’m always looking for a nice facial sunscreen (hate the greasy ones!).

    1. Yay, another Super C Serum fan! This sunscreen really sinks in and the white color fades quickly as it sinks in. Thanks for entering, Kim, and good luck 🙂

    1. Hahaha, Laura, that’s because the well-known brands don’t send me stuff, lol! But I like indie brands and I’ve discovered some great products among the little known brands 🙂

    1. That’s what they say, the oils restore balance to oily skin. Coui Skincare started out with vitamin C serums and maybe an HA serum, but they’ve expanded and are introducing lots of new products. Their moisturizer is on its way to me, and I’m eager to check it out too. Great quality at affordable prices!

  6. I’d like to win the Coui Skincare UV Facial Sunscreen SPF30 because it’s hard to find a good facial sunscreen and this one sounds like a winner.

    1. I really think the Coui Skincare Facial Sunscreen is a winner. I try to use it just about everyday. Thanks for entering, Megan, and good luck! This is a quick giveaway, and I’m not promoting it widely so fingers crossed 🙂

  7. I’m a total oil cleansing convert. Feels nice and takes off my makeup- I call that a win!
The zinc in the sunscreen formula ensures it’s not for me so I’ll sit this one out, but best of luck to everyone else! 😀

  8. I have been considering using a different sunscreen specially made for faces — would like to try this product.

    1. I think the difference is that this is more lightweight. It goes on with a bit of white but the white quickly disappears as you rub it in. It just seems like less work than most sunscreens I’ve used, Marilyn. I like it a lot!

  9. Love your skin review about this brand!! Can’t wait to try it in the future!!

    Ursula aka Blueridge

    1. Well, Coui Skincare UV Facial Sunscreen can help prevent future damage from sun exposure, Anita. And it’s great to wear under makeup. Thank you for entering the giveaway and good luck 🙂

  10. I have not herd of this brand before! looks exciting though! I am currently using the Oskia Cleansing Gel and love it. xxx

    1. Coui Skincare is sold on Amazon and their own website, and I’m not sure if they ship worldwide, but it is a wonderful and affordable line, Nafisah. I”m glad you’ve found a cleansing gel that you love, I love gels too 🙂

  11. I basically live at the beach so wearing spf daily is important and I love that it’s not greasy.

  12. As I’m aging, I’m always on the lookout for good & effective skin care products. I’d love to win because these look and sound absolutely lovely! 🙂

    1. Natalie, so glad you entered. The giveaway is just for the UV Facial Sunscreen, but it’s a really good one. I think it’s the best sunscreen to wear under makeup!

  13. I do understand it’s for the sunscreen. lol As I’m spending four days at the beach with my sister in a couple of weeks, we could for sure use it. 🙂

    1. Oh good, Natalie. I wasn’t sure whether it was clear. Lucky you!! I hope the weather cooperates for your trip! It sounds wonderful 🙂
