Rimmel ScandalEyes Eye Shadow Sticks: Bulletproof Beige and Bad Girl Bronze FOTD

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Crayons Bad Girl Bronze, Bulletproof Beige

Last winter, I picked up a couple of the Rimmel ScandalEyes eyeshadow sticks/crayons in taupe and brown matte shades. I mentioned Trespassing Taupe and Bootleg Brown in a post about my CVS haul, but I ended up liking them so much I wear them all the time. They really are my go-to eye shadows for everyday, even faster and easier than my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, also an everyday staple.

With some CVS Extrabucks, I picked up a couple more of the eye crayons and with discounts and promotions, they were just about free. This time I got metallic neutral shades:

  • 002 Bulletproof Beige: a peachy beige that’s not the least bit boring
  • 003 Bad Girl Bronze: a rich coppery bronze.

Metallic but not at all gaudy, they just glow. The perfect amount of shine for me!

In addition to being great shades, they’re also waterproof. Since I tend to wear these to the beach, waterproof is a plus.

What I most love about these eye crayons is how smooth and easy to apply they are. Just amazing how they glide on. Plus they are so easy to blend. I apply them over primer, and they do not crease or fade. They stay on till I take them off. Period. But I want to stress that applying them over eye primer is a must if you want them to last. Without primer, there’s creasing and fading after a few hours. With primer, they are perfection!

I can’t say enough good things about the Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks/Crayons. I absolutely love ’em! They contain 0.11 oz/3.25g, and they’re made in France. They’re widely available and very affordable, less than $5 each.

On Saturday night, Jeff and I were getting together with friends for dinner at the house. I had a fair amount of cooking and preparations to do, so I settled for a simple, quick look with Bulletproof Beige on my eyelid and Bad Girl Bronze in the crease and V.

Isn’t Protest a gorgeous neutral shade? I forgot that I had it. So happy to rediscover it! But I regret to say that I think Protest was a limited edition shade that was part of the Reds and Nudes holiday collection. Boo hoo! But they have other shades that are pretty close to this nude/pink/mauve shade. For instance, Naked looks quite close.

  1. These look beautiful on you! I own a total of 2 eye crayons and both are very sheer, almost too sheer (Clinique Chubby Sticks). Definitely going to look for these Rimmel shades… they also seem perfect for travel. I hate to pack palettes because I worry that they’ll get pulverized in transit! Loving that neutral lip, too. Maybe UD will bring it back…. a girl can always hope 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Kim! I think you’d like these Rimmel eye crayons and you’re right, they are perfect for travel (I haven’t been traveling as much since I bought these so it slipped my mind). The UD lippie would have been perfect for you too, but Urban Decay has plenty of pretty nudes. I strongly recommend the regular UD Revolution Lipstick formula 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Rachel! I haven’t tried Bad Girl Bronze as the main shade yet, but I should. Blended with Bulletproof Beige, it’s wonderful. I now have 5 of these Rimmel crayons (I’ve got a deep purple too), and they are so easy to work with and so handy. I think they’re a bargain. Have you tried them?

          1. The only cream eye products I’ve had any luck with are ColourPop and Maybelline Color Tattoos, and even those need primer first. I never get along with cream pencils, except sometimes on my lower lid as a liner.

          2. Rachel, can you believe I still haven’t tried ColourPop? I am so curious about the cream/powder or bouncy cream form that everyone talks about, plus they have so many great shades. I’ve gotta take the plunge and do it. So glad to hear that at least those two creams work for you, but then there are so many great powders out there!

          3. Colour Pop are one of those rare things that live up to the hype. I think you’ll love them.

  2. I have the turquoise blue shade from this collection, and think that it has a lovely consistent. It isn’t the type of color that I would wear often– so i will definitely check out these shades next time I go to CVS. I love the simple look that you created wearing these two shades together! They are absolutely gorgeous on you! I hope that you had a wonderful dinner with your friends! Thanks again for the butterLondon lippies! I am just elated to have won!

    1. Thank you so much, Helen! I have one in deep purple, and like your turquoise, I don’t wear it as often as the matte and metallic neutrals, but I’m glad I have it. 🙂

    1. I think you’d like it, Justina, and Bad Girl Bronze looks similar to the copper tones you also seem to wear from time to time. Plus they’re so handy to keep in a travel bag or purse

    1. Exactly, Mandy! I’ve got 5 of the Rimmel crayons now, and because of their smoothness, softness, ease of blending, and longevity, they’ve become my favorite eye crayons 🙂

    1. Yes, they are perfect everyday shadows. In fact, they seemed to have replaced Maybelline Color Tattoos as my go-to everyday shadows because they’re so much faster and easier to apply! Have you tried them?

  3. This beige is certainly not boring. The glow is beautiful. These Rimmel eye crayons are some of the best. I’ve not had any problems with any of the shades. This lip color is so pretty too. Congratulations to the winner of the lip pencils too! I’m sure she’s super excited. 🙂

    1. I’m glad that you like the Rimmel crayons too, Natalie. I think they’re such a steal: great quality, low price 🙂 And yes, Lola was over-the-moon excited about her win. I hope you’ll continue to enter my giveaways. In addition to the Skincare by Alana giveaway, I’ve got more to come – I just have to write them up including another StriVectin one. 🙂

    1. The Rimmel crayons really are great and so affordable. They’re usually buy one, get one, and the colors are beautiful. I was happy to see Rafflecopter pick out Lola’s name 🙂

  4. Not sure what I like more these eyeshadows or their names. I can actually see myself purchasing them for names alone 🙂 Although colours are absolutely stunning. I’m all in for cream/stick eyeshadows these days. Such an effortless way to makeup isn’t it? A little blending and crease colour and up you go. Great post and I like the pics hun x

    1. Thank you so much! These Rimmel cuties are such great shades, so easy to use and so inexpensive. You should look for them next time you’re in the drugstore or wherever Rimmel is sold in the UK 😉

      1. I most definitely will 🙂 It’s sold everywhere these days it being from UK makes it the brand to be sold pretty much in any store these days. However larger Boots and Superdrug offer bigger stock. I’m addicted to online shopping, I may make a cheeky order now 🙂 I’ve been using Boots own brand No7 and it’s ok but for £8 you can get better. I’m obsessed with Kiko ones. I’ve been testing one I got in one of our beauty boxes and I can’t put it down. I should post a review on it sooner rather than later lol. it’s really long-lasting and it didn’t crease on me even without a prime or matte crease (I have hooded eyes- everything creases on me lol but not this one)

        1. I’m not sure if I’ve seen Kiko here. I wish I could make a trip to the UK to go makeup shopping. I haven’t been there in about 15 years. Back then, Boots used to have the most amazing skincare lines, lots of different ones in different packaging and I loved them. Oh well, one day!

  5. I’ve seen so many bloggers using these, but I’ve STILL never picked any of them up. I wrote down the two names that you have because I think those will work great with my skin tone! They look so creamy and pigmented!!! I’m excited to give these a try! PS Those colors look amazing on you!

    1. Thank you, Christine! I hope you like them. The metallic ones really are creamy and pigmented, the mattes that I own are a little less creamy but still easy to apply and blend. I am astounded that the 5 Rimmel crayons have become my go-to eyeshadows especially for everyday because they’re so darn easy to use, and I am lazy! And I really love both the metallic and the matte neutral shades that I bought.
