This was a short week, and it’s the weekend again. No complaints from me.
What’s on your calendar this weekend? Jeff and I are going to a simulcast of the Metropolitan Opera’s Rusalka by Dvorak. The story of Rusalka is based on a myth that could be described as a version of the Little Mermaid. And the music is beautiful. I’ve seen it performed in Seattle and in Boston in person, but this is the first time I am seeing it “at the Met” even though I won’t be in New York watching it. I am actually a big opera fan, and I’ve missed going to the Met as I did for years when I lived in New York. This isn’t quite the same, but it’ll still be enjoyable.
