Things have been so hectic with Labor Day Weekend, upcoming holidays and the Sephora VIB sale that I completely forgot about Ulta’s semi-annual 21 Days of Beauty. I received my Ulta catalogue last week, but I put it aside without even opening it. Featured on the cover was the new Too Faced Tutti Fruitti collection that’s very cute but not that interesting to me.

Also, Ulta changed the look of the 21 Days of Beauty logo and made it more recessive – heck, I didn’t even notice it.

Last night, I finally had a few minutes and when I opened the catalogue, I saw the 21 Days of Beauty grid. (Sorry, some water spilled on the catalogue so it looks kind of wrinkly.) The sale already started this past weekend. So I’ve already missed a couple of things I might have been interested in.

Here are both pages of the sale calendar that may be easier to read:

Don’t forget to go to the Ulta website because there are online only sale items! In addition, there are Platinum Perks that only are listed on the website, e.g. MAC Girl Palettes for $19.75 on 9/9

Because I recently made purchases at both Ulta and Sephora, I don’t have a long list of needs. There are a few products that I am considering picking up:

  • today September 6: Blendercleanser Solid, $8 (I noticed this when I went to the website)
  • September 17: First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser, $10, a creamy gentle cleanser that I think is perfect for winter or for travel
  • September 22: IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream, $24.

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty usually consists of staples, but this time, there are a few makeup items that may be a little more fun than usual:

  • September 11: Buxom Plumpline Lipliner, $9
  • September 16: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette, $24.50
  • September 20: Cover FX Glitter Drops & Custom Enhancer Drops, $21-22

In the staples category, there are:

  • brow products from ABH, IT Cosmetics and Tarte
  • mascaras from Lancôme, Tarte and MAC
  • favorites like Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray, Clinique Moisture Surge 72 hr Hydrator, IT Brushes for Ulta.

This time there’s really only one lipstick on the calendar (but there are more listed on the Ulta website) and it’s on sale today: Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint, $10. I have not tried it, but if you’re a fan of liquid lipstick, it might be a good one to try for that price.

Finally, there are lots of skincare products for a variety of skincare needs.

So what’s on your list, or are you going to sit this one out?

    1. Sorry about that, Mary! I just didn’t have the fortitude to type in all the products that are on sale in a list, so I was hoping that the individual page photos would be big enough. Are you thinking of getting anything? I just called my local store to make sure they had Beauty Blender Blendercleanser that’s 50% off today, and they didn’t even know about it. Then I called the Ulta 800 number, and the woman I spoke to was clueless as well. Kind of disappointing!

  1. There are simply too many sales going on simultaneously! LOL! Last year it seemed as though we had a little time between each of them, or at least with minor overlapping, but this year it’s a traffic jam of beauty sales and gifts with purchase! I am trying to limit my purchases!

    1. Same here, Helen, though I just came back from Ulta because I needed the Blendercleanser. I stopped in a Barney’s yesterday to investigate a fragrance that smelled great on my hair colorist, Odin 12. Unfortunately, I ended up trying on too many scents and now I’m not going to get any of them, I guess. I wish that my Barney’s did a better job at sampling because before I buy a $165 perfume for the first time, I need more than spraying it on once at the store. Also, I discovered that the Boston Barney’s doesn’t carry Kjaer Weis in the store. Disappointing all around. I guess I’ll pass on the fall Barney’s bag this year

  2. Is it time already? Too many sale happening, I’m going broke if I don’t discipline myself, haha! I’m waiting for ULTA to open near me, I believe in October!

  3. I wonder why I don’t get the brochure, I even have their CC. Nothing strikes me off the list so that’s good. I have too many mascaras so I won’t buy more. And Ulta’s free shipping is so high that shipping eats up a discount on the product.

  4. I went into Ulta on Monday to check out some of the goodies. II didn’t pick anything up, but at least I know that I have that option if there is something that I need.
