Why I Don’t Have A Review Blogpost Today
I had a choice yesterday: stay home and write a blogpost or go out for a long walk on the beach with my friend Laura. Not a very hard choice, right?
It was a bright, sunny day in the 40s with some wind that was left over from the snow and rain storm on Sunday. The ocean was clearly affected by the remains of the storm. We went to Singing Beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea, a beautiful small-ish beach that is in a cove.
The ocean at Singing Beach (called that because of the “zing” sound when you walk barefoot on the sand) is almost always calm. But it certainly wasn’t. The waves were huge, especially for a cove beach. Some of the waves were about 8 feet, I estimated. I wish my iPhone could have captured the size and their perfect shape.
The sound of the waves crashing was a continuous roar. There was quite a crowd on the beach: lots of people walking while their dogs played with other dogs.
After our walk on the beach, Laura and I drove up the coast to Magnolia, another charming town, to try to see the waves at the open ocean, But instead of seeing lots of waves, we saw a beautiful piece of a rainbow next to the sun.
