Sol de Janeiro International Jet Set Travel Set

Sol de Janeiro International Jet Set travel set of 3 bath & body products in a clear plastic zippered case, neversaydiebeauty.com

Right now, my bathroom and I smell like a tropical paradise! Such an excellent antidote to the continually dreary and cold weather we’re having in MA this spring.

At Sephora in that incredibly tempting area at the checkout where they keep the travel size products, I spied the Sol de Janeiro Sun Bum International Jet Set travel set for $25. This was last week at the end of the Sephora VIB sale. I had just been looking at the Sol de Janeiro body mists that in the travel size sell for $19, so this set was a good deal especially with the additional 15% off that brought the price down to $21 and change. However, all of the sets were gone. I asked one of the SAs if there were any more in the store room, and she said she had just put all the sets they had out about 20 minutes ago – they went that fast! But she told me they could order it for me, and it would be free delivery since I placed the order at the store. The set arrived just as I got back from my trip, lol. BTW, the set is TSA-friendly as each item is within TSA guidelines. It also comes in a handy clear plastic zippered pouch.

BTW, this same set on the Sol de Janeiro website was priced at $33, but it’s sold out on the SDJ website.

3 travel size items from the Sol de Janeiro International Jet Set travel set: shower gel, fragrance mist and Bum Bum Cream, neversaydiebeauty.com

The set includes Sol de Janeiro:

  • Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel, 3.0 fl. oz.
  • Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist, 1 fl. oz.
  • Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (reviewed on the blog here), 1.5 fl. oz. (this is a unique size of Bum Bum Cream since the Purse Size for $10 contains 0.84 fl. oz. and the usual Travel Size contains 2.5 fl. oz. for $20)

This was my first time using the Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel. It is a lightweight lotiony shower cream-gel, but it produces a good amount of lightweight, fluffy suds.

It was also my first time using the Fragrance Mist, and it definitely packs a punch!

Although I haven’t really seen any tightening effect from the Bum Bum Cream, it is nicely hydrating with no grease left behind. And it smells delightful! The cream contains caffeine-rich Guaraná extract that is supposed to do the tightening and a cocktail of Cupuaçu Butter, Açaí Oil, and Coconut Oil for hydration.

As I mentioned, I think the Jet Set travel set is a very good deal. The set contains specially sized containers of 2 of the 3 products. The regular Travel Size fragrance mist containing 3 fl. oz. is usually $19 so this smaller size with 1 fl. oz. would be worth about $6, and this unique size of Bum Bum Cream (1.5 fl. oz.) would be about $15, so those 2 items together would be worth about $21. The Travel Size Shower Cream-Gel that contains 3 fl. oz. is $10. So instead of paying $31 for the 3 items, you save $6. It’s like getting the specially sized Fragrance Mist for free.

The Jet Set travel set are all in the Cheirosa ’62 fragrance that I love. I have visions of the Girl from Ipanema sashaying down the beach wearing it. Sol de Janeiro describes the scent as “pistachio and salted caramel”. Using all three products together really makes the scent last.

And if you are a huge fan of these products, the Sol de Janeiro website is having a 20% off sale on a set of these same products called the Brazilian Obsession Collection in the full sizes, $81 instead of the usual $102. The full size Bum Bum Cream alone is $45, so it is a good deal too.

Sol de Janeiro products are cruelty-free and vegan (except for their lip butter that contains beeswax).

Are you a fan of Sol de Janeiro? Which scent is your fave?

  1. I have a Sun Bum Face Stick but have never tried any of the other products. Going to check the line out now though. As usual great review!

    1. Sandy, I think I goofed on the name of the set. For some reason, I thought I saw “sun bum” somewhere on the packaging, but I must have been wrong. The brand is Sol de Janeiro, and they are best known for their Bum Bum Cream. “Sun Bum” is a different brand that makes sunscreen products, so it makes sense that you have their face stick. My bad!

    1. Everyone has scents that just don’t work with their body chemistry. But just to clarify, the scent of the yellow line isn’t vanilla; it’s pistachio and salted caramel!

      1. Totally! I got some in a sub box and I think it still has vanilla in it. It smells amazing on my husband but weird on me! I’m really bummed about my body being weird!

  2. I’ve not tried these as coconut oil dries my skin out like crazy, but the added Cupuaçu Butter makes me think I should give it a go!

  3. You’re the second reviewer that I’ve heard say the bum bum cream doesn’t do anything like it says – but smells good. The scents sounds like I’d love it tho!
