Just a quick update on my Black Friday Week shopping (see yesterday’s post for the sale list). Over the past couple of days, I managed to get all of the items on my Black Friday wish list on sale. I have just one more thing to pick up: City Lips, and that is it!
It is unlikely that I will qualify to keep my VIB status at Sephora or my Platinum status at Ulta. Although I am sad about that, I just didn’t buy as many cosmetics this year. And their sales just weren’t as other online retailers. In fact, I ordered from two new-to-me retailers over the past two days:
- Belle Kalista Beauty, an online retailer based in Los Angeles
- SkinRx, an online retailer that emphasizes skincare products and brands. I was surprised to learn that it’s a division of Lookfantastic.
Both of those retailers were offering 30% off, and I got an extra 5% off at SkinRx via a Rakuten coupon (in addition to the Rakuten flashback) on the pricey PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel.

I’m in the same boat as you with Sephora. I’m not going to throw money out on items I can get at better prices.
