I had waist length hair till I was about 25. In fact, it was my trademark for a long time.
I had a lot of hair. Stuffing it into a shower cap on those days when I didn’t want to wash it in the shower was tough.
Try This An That Extra-Large Shower Cap
Recently, Rosemary from Try This An That (TTAT) gave me the opportunity to try out their extra-large size shower cap. The cap measures a little more than 13″ when folded flat,
compared to my usual shower cap that measures a very snug 9.25″.

The bow in the front of the cap is not only cute, it is adjustable. You can undo the bow like I did, and adjust the cap to fit your head. Handy dandy!
I primarily use my shower cap for showering or for the occasional bath, but this beauty can also be used to deep condition the hair or to steam it. You can also use it to keep hair clean when giving yourself a facial, applying makeup or anytime you wish to keep your hair clean and dry. The shower cap can be washed either by hand or in cold water on the delicate cycle in your washing machine.
The TTAT shower cap came in a handy plastic bag with a slider opening that is really travel friendly. It will be easy to take it with me to London and Dublin.

I couldn’t believe when Rosemary told me that they also sell an even bigger shower cap at 15″ – the Jumbo! But it makes sense. If you have super-long braids or dreads or a big ‘fro, you need the extra space.
The Jumbo comes in solid colors, and it works well for both men and women.

I looked like you back in the day. My hair was so full that a shower cap was often useless. My hair isn’t full like that anymore but I wish it was. The shower cap looks perfect for so many people.
I know what you mean, Marcia. My hair certainly isn’t what it was. But since my hair is still shoulder-length and it’s thicker at the bottom, the XL size of the TTAT shower cap makes it easier for me. And yes, you’re right that many people with lots of hair or extensions etc. will benefit from a shower cap like these 🙂
