Bigger Than Beauty is a new sister brand that was created by the people at Thrive Causemetics to accompany Thrive makeup.That immediately got my attention since I’m a fan of Thrive Mascara and Brow Gel, two results-oriented makeup products.
Like Thrive, Bigger Than Beauty is also a results-oriented skincare collection. In fact, BTB talks about transformative results that actually deliver! Working with chemists and dermatologists, BTB puts science first. Yet the brand is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. They call their ingredients “nourishing naturals”, ingredients such as:
- Abyssinian seed oil
- AHA and BHA
- Allantoin from beets
- Amino acid blends
- Avocado butter
- Artemisia Abrotanum Extract
- Bakuchiol, the gentler retinol
- Caffeine
- Ceramides
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Peptides
- Pineapple Enzyme,
actually, there are four pages of nourishing naturals that hydrate, firm, add elasticity, address acne and breakouts, strengthen the skin barrier, and give a natural glow.
Bigger Than Beauty sent me three of their skincare products to try out. Because this post is long enough already, I will review products two and three another time.
Nevertheless, as much as I love Bigger Than Beauty’s attractive light aqua packaging, I don’t like the tiny font in white. To be honest, I can’t read the packaging without a magnifying glass. I guess their target audience is young with really good eyesight!
Bigger Than Beauty Defying Gravity Eye Lifting Cream
I hit the jackpot with BTB Defying Gravity. You know I am always on the lookout for great eye firming and hydrating products. Well, that’s exactly what I discovered with Defying Gravity Eye Lifting Cream!
First, Defying Gravity can be used around the entire eye area. For me, that’s fabulous! I look for eye creams that hydrate my dry eyelids and crease, and firm and lift the skin above the crease. I also love an eye cream that softens my crow’s feet. Defying Gravity provides all three key benefits for me!

In addition, it’s dermatologist tested and approved. It’s also gluten-free, sulfate and parabens-free, and free of synthetic fragrances. To me, it has no discernible scent.
Bigger Than Beauty Defying Gravity comes in a needle nose tube that contains less plastic than previous packaging. It contains 0.5 fl. oz./15 ml and is priced at $46. It’s a bit pricey, but for me, it sure does work!!
I have never heard of this brand before, Allison! Thanks for introducing me to this eye cream! It really does sound as though you hit the jackpot on this one! I know how you prefer to use eye creams that can also be used on dry eyelids, and it is great that this one can be used there. I honestly don’t understand why more brands don’t formulate eye creams that can be used on the often neglected eye lids! I would love to try this eye cream!

I thought it was a very new brand, but Marcia bought this eye cream in pump packaging at least 8 months ago, so it’s at least a year old. I agree with you that all eye creams should be usable on the entire eye area. Duh, right? I think you would love this one because it’s not super thick but it’s very effective!
I have this in a pump jar. I wonder if they are different. Thrive sometimes has sales so watch for that. I think I bought mine about 8 months ago.
Thank you, Marcia. I read on the Bigger Than Beauty website that they changed the packaging to a needle-nose tube to for eco-friendly reasons while also maintaining the efficacy. BTB as the sister skincare brand to Thrive is new to me. So I guess it’s at least more than 8 months old if that’s when you got yours! Have you had good luck with it? I definitely will keep my eyes open for sales, coz I really really like this one!

Thrive Causemetics, the main brand that gives back to women in need, makes terrific makeup, and so far, their new-ish skincare brand, Bigger Than Beauty, does not disappoint! I’m always on the hunt for eye creams that I can use above my eyes rather than just under the eye, and I love love love Defying Gravity. PS Hilda, we are coming to Dublin for a very brief visit soon.
