“BLEND IN. STAND OUT” Campaign

The brand that is known for breaking down barriers in the beauty industry with a product line that reflects the diversity of people everywhere has launched a new campaign, “Blend In. Stand Out”. MAKE UP FOR EVER has enlisted six diverse influencers from the beauty world to spread the word about their broad range of complexion products as well as to celebrate the individuality, self-expression, diversity, and beauty of people everywhere.

Each of the influencers is promoting their favorite MAKE UP FOR EVER complexion product that helps them “blend in” as well as the personal causes that they champion that help them “stand out”.

The makeup for the stunning influencers was done by renowned celebrity makeup artists, Renny Vasquez (@RennyVasquez) and Priscilla Ono (@PriscillaOno), using MAKE UP FOR EVER’s award-winning Ultra HD Foundation range that just happens to be my favorite too.

My foundation of choice is Ultra HD Cover Stick Foundation  #R230. I adore this foundation. I reach for it just about all the time. It provides full coverage, and it is a cinch to apply – I use a blending sponge.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Global Flagship Store

MAKE UP FOR EVER recently opened their first ever Global Flagship store in New York at 731 Lexington Avenue.

The store looks and sounds absolutely amazing with:

  • a brow-shaping station
  • a lash bar for digitally trying on false lashes
  • GO PRO MAKEUP, a conveyer-belt setup that features a unique live makeup tutorial experience for people at all skill levels.

Oh, why did I move out of New York? I want to go now. I desperately need my brows shaped, who wouldn’t want to “try on” falsies to see how they look before buying, and the GO PRO MAKEUP sounds wild!

So if you live in or near NYC, please let me know what the new store is like. And if you’re heading to NYC, stop buy the shop at 731 Lex and tell me all about it!

Do you wear MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD foundations? If so, which one?

    1. Yes, I agree! I love following her at @notjessfashion <3

I’ve not had much success with MUFE products but I’ve only used deluxe samples so I’ll have to give them a closer look, especially the foundation stick,I’ve been wanting one.The picture of your foundation stick looks dark to me and since I know you’re fair like me I think I would definitely need to try them out in a store and not go on what might work.Sounds like a good enough reason to go on a road trip to NYC, lol. I think the thought behind the campaign is wonderful although I would have liked to see a few older influencers included. Thanks for the review.I was glad to get my daily email I was wondering if you were ok yesterday(I didn’t get my daily NSDB email)and was going to email you today if I didn’t see this.I’m so used to my morning emails and you are always 2 down from my local news so I notice and miss it if I don’t see when I get up 🙂

    1. Laura, thank you. My refrigerator freezer stopped working, and the repairman came on Tuesday afternoon and told me he would have to come back with the part today. But first I had to thaw out the totally frozen freezer. Taking all the food out, packing it up and taking it to my neighbor’s house, cleaning out all the food that spoiled and then cleaning the refrigerator and freezer took me almost 12 hours. I didn’t have time to get a post written! I’m hoping it will get fixed today coz I have nothing to eat except carbohydrates that don’t need to be refrigerated!!

Re: MUFE, everyone is different so maybe it won’t suit you. The photos of R230 are not accurate because I took them last night in a spice-colored room under yellowish light. I just took a new photo & swatch. I was going to buy the Hourglass Stick Foundation, but the MUFE was a better formula and better shade match for me. I bought it in September, and I use it almost everyday instead of other foundations that I still love but this stick is just so much easier to apply. I thought I could post better pix here in the comments but I guess I can’t, so I’ll add them to the post.

I agree with you on the ages of the influencers. They got diversity in skin tones and gender but ageism is still showing it’s ugly head.

  3. What a positive campaign! I need to try this foundation, too!

    1. The MUFE Cover Stick Foundation is the fastest foundation to use. I adore it!

  4. I would love to try MUFE’s Water Blend foundation.

    1. I haven’t tried that one yet either. But I am in love with the Cover Stick Foundation 🙂

  5. I use their HD Foundation and it’s one of my favorites. MUFE has been a part of my collection way before it was well known. Saks had a small counter and I was always looking for items to buy.

    1. That’s great that you’ve been a long time fan, Marcia. I was relatively late to the party. I had been using the Velvet Matt that a Sephora SA recommended but I don’t think it was really the right foundation for me. But I am truly in love with the Cover Stick Foundation. The PR company sent me another Cover Stick Foundation so I’m going to be set for a while, but I would like to try the new Ultra HD liquid next.

  6. Wow, that sure is an upgrade from their old NYC location–I would be like a kid in a candy store!

    1. I never got to go to the old NYC store. This one definitely looks like a beauty. I’d love to go.

  7. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve used MUFE products but I definitely think this campaign is awesome. If I were to use foundation again consistently, I’d love to check out their new selections.

    1. I’m glad you don’t have to wear foundation, Honey. Fortunately, when you’re in the mood for a splurge, MUFE has such great eye makeup!

  8. I love MUFE foundations! I actually use the same shade in this as you and often dot it on over a bit of BB cream when my skin is extra dry.

  9. I love MUFE foundations so much! This campaign is amazing

  10. I love MUFE. They were the first brand to really get me interested in makeup artistry and the more technical aspects of makeup application.

  11. Love this campaign!
