Galentine’s Gift Guide $30 & Under

Whether you celebrate Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day, sometimes it’s nice to recognize a daughter, daughter-in-law, niece, aunt, cousin, special friend, or neighbor with a little treat around Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune. It doesn’t have to be chocolates or flowers. It should be something that marks the day and recognizes the importance of your relationship.

If you already know something that your giftee would like, then, by all means, go for it. But if you’re stuck trying to think of a little something, here are a few ideas for affordable treats for beauty lovers.

Spongelle Exfoliating Body Wash-Infused Buffers: I have wanted to try Spongellé body wash-infused buffers for the longest time, so you can imagine how delighted I was when I received 3 heart-shaped buffers created for Valentine’s Day. If your Galentine is a fan of both fragrance and pampering in the shower or bath, Spongelle has got her covered. The heart-shaped buffers come in delightful Freesia & Pear, Bulgarian Rose, French Lavender fragrances. And if hearts aren’t her thing (how could that be?), there are round or flower shaped buffers as well. Each buffer contains enough body wash for at least 14 baths or showers. And after it’s empty, she can apply her own shower gel to the outside or just use it as an exfoliator. One of the best things about Spongelle buffers is that the technology used to create them prevents bacterial buildup. Plus they’re cruelty-free and vegan. Each Spongelle comes on a ribbon so they’re easy to hold and easy to drip dry! Right now, you can receive 25% off on Spongelle’s extensive Valentine’s Day Collection!

Aid for Trade Beaded Bracelets: Aid for Trade sells roll-on beaded bracelets handmade by women in Nepal in 3 sizes: kid size, regular and 8 inch. You can buy them singly, Friendship packs of 2 bracelets, Mommy & Me pairs, or sets of 3, 6 or 12 bracelets. Plus, they always have sale bracelets. A single bracelet is $15, so you can buy 2 of your choosing, or a Friendship pair for $22-$26. Right now, they are offering a free red, pink and white confetti beaded bracelet with any order placed before February 14. Choose V-day color schemes like “Cupid” or any colors that your Galentine favors.

Olive and June Nail Polish: If your Galentine is frustrated by nail polish that’s difficult to apply or that chips after a couple of days, consider Olive and June. To fit within the $30ish limit for this post, consider a couple of bottles of polish ($8 each) and definitely a bottle of the fab Topcoat ($10, I think). O&J polish has the best brush ever.

Mont Bleu Crystal Nail Files from Prague: Mont Bleu’s crystal nail files are the best nail files there are, IMHO. With or without Swarovski crystals and in all colors of the rainbow plus black, they’re beautiful as well as kind to your nails. A set of 3 different size nail files with crystals will set you back only $19.95 on Amazon

Molton Brown Body Wash Discovery Set: A full size bottle of Molton Brown Body Wash/Shower Gel is now just over $30, but for around the same price, you can buy a discovery set so your Galentine can find her own favorite. Check out the Molton Brown Discovery Bathing Collection with 8 different scents in one ounce bottles.

ColourPop Heart-Shaped Blush: ColourPop has 6 different shades of pressed powder blush in adorable heart-shaped compacts with mirror. At $10 each, you can pick up 3!

  5. I couldn’t get those shoes on my feet let alone walk in them. I haven’t worn a heel in about 10 years! But I do wear blush and those ColourPop heart brushes have had me looking over there half a dozen times. The Mont Bleu files are so beautiful. I should splurge on a new set.
