Jeff’s older daughter sent me an early birthday gift last weekend. It’s the perfect gift for me, and I thought you might like to hear about it as a possible gift idea or for yourself!
Bonne Maman is the brand known for French jam, jellies, marmalade and other spreads as well as for its well-known red gingham jar covers and handwritten-style name. It was founded by the Gervoson family in 1971 in Biars-sur-Cère, a small town in southwest France. The privately held company, Andros, is still owned by members of the family, and Bonne Maman is their largest brand.
The French countryside around Biars-sur-Cère is surrounded by fruit trees from which Bonne Maman’s preserves were made. Today, though Bonne Maman has 40 factories around the world, it still uses superior quality fruit and other ingredients. No high fructose corn syrup in any of their products! All of their products are natural. The tagline is “Made simply, with love”.

I received the Bonne Maman 10 Ways To Say I Love You Gift Box!
The white metal rectangular gift box, decorated with pictures of fruit and the familiar jam jars, is filled with 9 mini-jars of natural jams/preserves/jelly and one mini-jar of honey, each containing 1 oz./28 g. The fruit jams I received are:
- strawberry (2 jars!)
- blueberry
- raspberry
- cherry
- peach
- orange
- fig
- grape jelly.
Each mini-jar came in its own fruit-decorated cardboard mini-box inside the keepsake white tin. Honestly, the mini-boxes are so adorable, I haven’t been able to force myself to recycle them!
The mini-jars are a great way to sample many of Bonne Maman’s classic preserves. There’s enough in the little jar for me, anyway, to spread the jam on two large pieces of toast or 2 or 3 of English muffins.
In the attractive shipping box decorated with Bonne Maman red that I received, I found a bonus mini-jar (0.8 oz./25g) of Hazelnut Chocolate Spread, (unlike Nutella, Bonne Maman is made without palm oil!). Was I excited to get to try that scrumptiously delicious spread!
There was also a $2 off coupon in the box to buy a full-size jar.
Since I received the 10 Ways To Say I Love You tin as a gift, I correctly assumed that it came directly from Bonne Maman US. The set of 10 mini-jars in the tin is priced at $28.90. The box is delivered by FEDEX.
In addition, I searched online, and you can also buy a version from Amazon that comes in a nicely decorated regular box without the mini-boxes for $26.90. Both versions are great options!

What a beautiful gift and so great for you. I thought the price would be much higher when I read your review and am thrilled to know it’s affordable. Bonne Maman has a special place in my heart with their heritage.
I agree, I thought it would be more expensive. The samplers are just so darn pretty, too. I was going to write about their heritage, but I tried to corroborate the story I saw on Facebook. Unfortunately, no one from the family will address it one way or another.
