Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

This past year, two different market research consulting projects took me to San Francisco. San Francisco is one of my favorite cities. We were conducting our research in an office building south of Market Street, so I got to stay at the nearby W Hotel in San Francisco twice. I love that hotel because the staff is wonderful, and the decor is fabulous. The first time back in February, I was there for a week! And even though I was only there for one night in July, it was heaven.

One of the highlights, literally, was the color-changing Buddha in my room.

Plus, I loved all of the mini products from Bliss Spa that I received every day of my stay. In fact, I took quite a few home with me, and I made them last as long as I could.

The one Bliss product that I couldn’t live without is the Foaming Face Wash. Luckily, it was on sale during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale that just ended for half off, $12 for the 6.7 oz/200 ml size. Score!

I’m very scent-focused. Bliss Foaming Face Wash smells like tutti-frutti. I hope you know what that smells like because I’m not quite sure how to describe it. Maybe like sweet candy?  But a fresh-scented sweet candy? I like the scent a lot. If you like unscented products, it isn’t for you.

Mixed with water, it makes a small amount of foam in spite of its name, Foaming Face Wash. If you like a lot of suds, this isn’t for you, but for me, it’s just the right amount of foam. And it contains very tiny grains that provide a gentle exfoliation to my usually sensitive skin.

Bliss Foaming Face Wash is described as an oil-free, soothing cleanser that can calm irritated skin, even rosacea, because it contains soothing botanicals such as rose hip extract, milk thistle, passion flower and chamomile. Fortunately, my skin hasn’t been inflamed lately so I can’t comment on that, but I find it amazingly gentle especially for a gel (since I usually use a cream cleanser or a rich facial soap).

I love the clean-looking Bliss packaging and their signature aqua color. I don’t mind that the gel itself is aqua. In fact, I think it’s pretty, one of my favorite colors.

I don’t use Bliss Foaming Face Wash to remove my eye makeup. Instead, I use my favorite Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover or coconut oil first, but Foaming Face Wash gets off my face makeup with no problem. What I like most about the product is that it cleans my dry “mature” skin but doesn’t strip or irritate it.

Bliss is made in the USA, and is widely available at Ulta, Sephora, drugstore.com, Macy’s, Dermstore, and Blissworld.com. The regular price for the 6.7 oz. size is $24, and they have a larger 15.5 oz. size for $38.

Have you tried Bliss Foaming Face Cleanser? Have you tried any of the other Bliss products like the lemon and sage body bar, body wash or shampoo? What’s your favorite cleanser?
