Turn Back the Clock with StriVectin Wrinkle Recode Line Transforming Melting Serum

When it comes to turning back the hands of time, I have realistic expectations. In fact, I’ve been better at slowing them than at turning them back, but I am up for trying anything that could help me do either one.

New StriVectin Wrinkle Recode Line Transforming Melting Serum is unlike any other serum I’ve tried.

Instead of having water as its first ingredient, it’s the 6th ingredient. The StriVectin Wrinkle Recode ingredient list starts off with emollients, so it is not a watery serum. Instead, it is a super concentrated, thick clear gel.

To apply, pump out about a pearl’s worth, warm it between your hands and press onto clean skin. To me, it feels like I’m applying a barrier to keep hydration inside my skin. I would say it feels like I’m applying a primer. It’s truly different from most serums I recall trying, and it’s more like a treatment product from Exuviance that I like that helps minimize deep wrinkles.

StriVectin Wrinkle Recode is supposed to melt into the skin, and you apply moisturizer on top. For me, it doesn’t sink into my skin, at least not right away. It sort of provides a protective cushion. Interesting. Because it doesn’t really sink into my skin, I use it only at night rather than twice a day per the directions.

StriVectin brings in the science of epigenetics, the switching on or off of genes, to its explanation for how Wrinkle Recode works. They say that the ingredients in its BioRecode Technology switch the youth genes back on. I have no idea about that, but I do know that the oils in the serum appear to mimic fatty acids naturally found in skin to replenish and retain moisture. The serum also contains skin tone optimizers to make skin look clearer and to impart a new glow.

StriVectin claims that Wrinkle Recode will show results in just 7 days with skin looking clearer, less wrinkled and younger. Because I am not using it twice a day, I figured it would take longer for me. I can say that my skin feels more hydrated, and the fine lines under my eye sockets are less noticeable which I think is a very good thing.

StriVectin Wrinkle Recode Line Transforming Melting Serum contains 1 fl. oz. and is priced at $89. It’s sold at Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Ulta Beauty, and the StriVectin website among other retailers. I just noticed that Ulta sells the Power Pair for Wrinkles, a sample size kit of both Wrinkle Recode and their cult classic, SD Advanced Intensive Concentrate For Wrinkles & Stretch Marks. Definitely a great way to give them both a try before committing to the full sizes.

Right now, the StriVectin website is having its 25% off Friends and Family sale with the code FF2018. It’s a good time to try this new serum or to replace your StriVectin favorites. As you know, I still love the TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream and the lighter weight gel cream version as well as several other of their innovative dual chamber serums like the Hyaluronic Dual Response Serum, so I’m getting my list ready.

    1. It is a really interesting serum/treatment product, Yvette. If you live anywhere near Ulta or Nordstrom or Lord & Taylor, I recommend you go it and sample it. It’s a really thick gel that you warm up in your hands and press onto your skin like you would an oil. It is supposed to sink into your skin, but on me it kind of coats it. To me, it doesn’t feel sticky per se, but it does feel like I have a coating on my skin and that’s why I use it at night. It feels good on my dry skin, but it would be too much during the day. I’ve been using one pump’s worth, and I’m thinking that maybe I should be using less. If you do try a sample in a store, let me know what you think, Yvette! I think it would be worthwhile to try the Antiwrinkle Duo that’s sold at Ulta first!
