It’s not even spring quite yet, but I am already thinking about preparing for the beach. Or for spending more time outdoors.
At CVS recently, I was looking for something I could buy with the $10 off coupon I got last time I shopped there. The front and center display of Sun Bum products caught my eye, and the Face Mist SPF 45 really stood out to me. It’s always a dilemma for me to figure out how to reapply sunscreen to my face as the day wears on. Frankly, I usually don’t reapply because I can’t stand the thought of putting on another layer of cream or lotion. But I never considered spraying a body sunscreen spray on my face.
So I took a chance on Sun Bum Face Mist SPF 45. The container is not an aerosol; it’s a pump spray. You shake the container and then spray. But you don’t spray it directly onto your face. You spray it onto your hand, and then pat it onto your skin. It is easy to apply and reapply.
Like other sunscreens, it lasts for about 40 minutes of swimming and/or sweating. Otherwise, it should be reapplied after 90 minutes -2 hours.
Sun Bum Face Mist SPF 45 is a chemical sunscreen, and the formula contains alcohol. So it may not be for everyone. But it is vegan and reef safe.
Nevertheless, it is a facial sunscreen that you may want to know about in case you, like me, don’t like applying more cream, lotion or even powder sunscreen on a hot day. I bought mine at CVS though it was over priced at $20 because I wanted to use my coupon. Amazon has the best price at $16.82, and it’s also at Ulta for $18.49 where you can use the Ulta $3.50 off coupon. 3.4 fl. oz.

Yes, I can’t believe you remembered that about it! But this one, I spray on one of my hands and apply it that way. It’s a nice, clear spray. But now I realize I forgot to say in my review (written while watching the Oscars) that it has a scent!

Nancy, originally I thought that I could spray on the Sun Bum sunscreen spray, but you are supposed to spray it on a cotton pad and apply that way. Sorry if you didn’t see my little mention about that in the review.
