Brights are the thing for spring this year in fashion and color cosmetics. If you’re not comfortable with an entire outfit of brights — channeling the 1980s, lol, add a pop of bright color to an otherwise neutral outfit based on black, grey or khaki. Same with color cosmetics. Bright eye makeup and a bright lipstick would be too much. To make your eyes the focal point, try a bright eyeliner with neutral eyeshadow and lipstick . Or choose one of the new bright color lip balms with a neutral eye. Although highly pigmented, the new lip balms provide almost sheer color. And they have the added benefit of good-for-your-lips moisturizing ingredients, like peppermint oil. Look for lip balms from Stila and Lancome, among others.
