This has been such a busy week for me so far. Two concerts, the Met Opera encore broadcast of La Traviata at the movies, a meeting this evening, and lots of yard work in between. Whew.

You know that I am a jewelry fanatic. Several years ago, I switched from wearing rose gold, white gold and the occasional yellow gold item to sterling silver most of the time. Since I’m no longer working and traveling on business, I have switched to more casual attire and accessories. I still have my gold jewelry, but I don’t wear it as often.

In addition, because I spend so much time working in the yard, hiking or jogging, I prefer to wear less expensive everyday jewelry. So when I saw an ad for Parken Jewelry on Facebook of course, I had to take a look. (BTW, I heard that Meta is laying off a lot of employees this week. I had thought that my shopping the ads on FB alone would keep Meta doing well. I guess I’m not buying enough, lol.)
Parken Jewelry was a new-to-me brand. To be honest, I don’t usually buy jewelry online unless it’s from a well-known brand like Chan Luu or Alexis Bittar. But the prices were modest. I decided to go for the Silver Cluster Necklace, a silver chain necklace with a period “raindrop” crafted with a cluster of peridots and amethysts. I wear a lot of green, and I love peridot. The necklace is Rhodium plated .925 Italian fine silver. The Rhodium makes the silver look very bright.
It took a couple of weeks, but the necklace arrived about a week ago. It’s lightweight, adjustable (16″-18″), and worth the $69 I paid for it, I think. In fact, I think I got an extra 15% off by signing up for emails. I’ve been wearing the necklace often.

For those who don’t love green as much as I do, it comes in another colorway with an aqua blue quartz raindrop and pink and green quartz in the cluster. I love that combo, too! There are also gold-plated chain options as well.
